Oilskin.

Regarding my hair length, these pictures were taken a while ago, actually 4 to 5 months ago. But with the weather we’re having lately in Paris, I’d rather post an outfit featuring a yellow oilskin than something wearing flowery shorts, right ?!
Actually, this yellow oilskin has been my best friend for three days, I have no idea how I would have managed without him ! I can’t believe I even hesitated to buy it last season, I have absolutely no regret, especially when I have to walk Joey a 10pm under a pouring rain !
To be honest, I was kinda scared of the color that’s far from being discret (especially when everything is grey around, the bright yellow kinda pops to your eyes y’know ?!) et let’s face it, really childish (I often find myself in the street next to a 5 year old kid wearing the exact same oilskin !). But in the end, every time I wear it it ends up being a success and taking up all the conversation (isn’t it cool ?! yeah, I love it ! and it’s super when it rains ! and it wasn’t that expensive ! best buy ever ! yeah, I’ll buy one for myself too ! oh cool ! and so on…) so I guess it wasn’t such a bad decision after all. And in the end, only my opinion matters, and I really do love it !
And then again, when it rains, I’m absolutely ready to do everything to avoid getting wet, even go out with a poncho made of garbage bag (well actually, it’s been done… yay, I’m that desperate) so to my opinion, a lovely yellow oilsking even ends up looking really classy !

Back to School.

la-rentrée

For most of us, it’s officially the end of summer holidays, and this means that we are all going back to school (or work for most of us, but school sounds cooler, nah ?). Papers flying, bosses yelling, people stressing out… Everyone’s back to business and already thinking about that next time they’ll get some time off.
But this year, for the first time in my life, the only thing I regret is that summer is ending, no more family time, days are getting shorter, temperatures are growing colder and leaves in the trees are getting more red…
Yeah, for me, this year should be different and really exciting ! I’ve got so many projects coming to me, and I’ve never felt that motivated ! I even worked on and off during my holidays, and since I got back to Paris, I can’t stop working, which is something I never would have imagined possible just a few months ago. I actually feel like some of my dreams are coming through. Well, “dream” is a big word, it’s technically more of a “professionnal project”, but I feel like work is such a big part of our petty lives nowadays, it can become some kind of a dream.
The craziest part is that, even though a lot of things seem blurry to me regarding those projects, and my anxiety level doing rollercoasters everyday, I just feel happy and optimistic. In the end, I kinda think dreams have to be scary, or else they’re just not big enough. So years, I think I’m on the right track, or anyway I’m keeping my fingers crossed !

Trouville sur Hyères.

Trouville sur Hyères

Disclaimer : Let’s all pretend I did not shoot a top with “Trouville sur Mer” written on it in Hyères Les Palmiers ! Let’s just focus on the beautiful view over the sea, will you ?!

It’s funny though, because right after Paris, the city where I spent my whole life and that I love the most, my two favorites cities are the  norman Trouville and the provencal Hyères. For me, these cities perfectly represent the spirit of vacations, of discovering new things and places, strolling around the markets on the harbours and walking in the sea at sunset…
