We are having the worst freaking weather EVER here in France… I actually have never seen such a horrible month of May, it’s been so cold and raining almost everyday and it is just NOT POSSIBLE ANYMORE. If it doesn’t stop anytime soon, you are probably going to assist to the death of all French people due to massive depression and lack of sunshine… And I do not wish that to happen…
Besides, non stop rain is a real pain when it comes to life organization : I can’t get my dog out as much as I’d like, it ruins my hair as soon as I wash it, it deprives us all from entire days of Roland Garros matches, and mainly it prevents me to shoot what I need to shoot. Rain has always been my worst pet peeve as a photographer : besides keeping me from goint out as I’d like and dressing up as I’d want, the humidity and very weak light during the few minutes when it doesn’t rain are the worst conditions to take pictures. And don’t even get me started on my appartment, which is usually pretty bright but instantly transforms as a mortuary cave with this kind of weather… So we ended up taking these pictures during a 5 minutes rain break, I decided to go with a sailor outfit to stay in tune with this humid atmosphere…
Ankles out, light jacket on my shoulders and sunnies on my nose : I guess we can definetely say that summer is coming ! And it was high freaking time ! I was really starting to miss light and cool outfits… I’m the kind of gal that gets really bored of winter jumper really fast… But let’s not jinx it though… That’s probably why I decided to start easy with an almost all black outfit, even though I really love clear or white outfits in the summer ! My Voyou (means “bandit” in French) t-shirt, always very successful and my new favorite pants with its perfect cut, my favorite Zara jacket and its gorgeous color and last but no least, my new perfect derbies from… Balsamik ! Yet again ! But if you’re looking for pretty little shoes in that style, I would defintely recommand them : they’re extra light, super comfy (even for a girl who always heart when not wearing sneakers…), and their classic style is perfectly twisted by their white sole !
Since I’ve discovered the brand of french designers Leon & Harper like 3 or 4 years ago, they’ve become one of my all time favorite brands. So when I learned that they were going to collaborate with Monoprix, I just went crazy for that news. On the very first day I rushed to my local store to get what I had spotted on the lookbook and while almost everything was already sold out (I’m not the kind to wake up early) I still got to find my crush : this awesome breton stripe shirt with “Guilty” embroidered on it. I also bought that super cool cardigan that I never even saw on the lookbook but ended up being one of my favorite ones. Also, Leon & Harper usually make the very best of cardigans so I was so happy to get this one. Since then I keep wearing them all the time and couldn’t wait to show you guys, I hope you’ll like the outfit !
