If you’ve stayed updated on what’s been going on here, we spent a very short weekend in Strasbourg a few weeks ago, a very improvised and improbable weekend (see my last article). I really fell in love with the city, it’s really charming, breathtakingly beautiful (god, that cathedral is quite something to see…) and quite dog friendly, which is pretty important as Joey was with us for the weekend !
I decided to try vloging, as I was quite fond of those I could see. It was my first, so I know it’s far from perfect but I really wanted to share all those moments I enjoyed filming. I speak a bit in French, but most of it is just videos so you can still enjoy it if you feel like it ! I’ll leave you there with the video and photos I took, and we’ll meet up at the end for all the addresses you need 🙂
We stayed at the AppartCity Strasbourg Centre, not very expensive, super clean, ok for small dogs and well located, since it only took us about 5min to get to the Petite France district.
11 rue de Molsheim – 67000 Strasbourg.
We’ve had diner at Meiselocker, a traditional Alsatian restaurant. It was really delicious, generous, pretty cheap and the staff was adorable ! I discovered Spätzle, traditional pastas from Germany, Switzerland and Alsace, a real delight !
39 rue des Frères – 67000 Strasbourg.
The Orangerie Park is something you really want to check out ! It’s a huge and incredibly gorgeous park which we didn’t even have time to see entirely. It’s really enjoyable to stroll in or have a lunch, you can go with your dog and it’s really clean ! The “mini zoo” is open for everybody and free, which is rather nice, especially the bird parts where you can see storks (then, I’m not fond of bobcats in 10m2 cages…). We’ve had the chance to discover the park under a beautiful sun and it was almost empty, but I’m sure it’s nice almost everyday ! It’s a must-see 🙂
That’s it for this weekend in Strasbourg, I really hope I can go back soon and stay a while longer to get a few more addresses ! If you’ve ever been there, feel free to tell me if you know the places above, or give me some of your own places to discover, so I can put it away for next time !
